The company, Main and Pinckney, was founded in September of 1963, a partnership between Elliot Main and William F. Pinckney.   Both men had worked as mechanics of other farm machinery companies for several years.  They built on what is the present location, just north of Auburn, off Route 5.

            The business grew and prospered through the word-of-mouth of their great customer service, and by meeting the needs of their customers with the latest farm machinery.  However, due to his declining health, Elliot Main retired in 1974, which resulted in the founding of Main & Pinckney Equipment, Inc. in 1976. 

            William F. Pinckney and John E. Komarisky continue to grow the business by extending their product lines, to include lawn and garden equipment, and to support their increasing customer base. 

            Main & Pinckney Equipment, Inc. continues to serve the Central New York area, with quality products and superior service.
